Hyattville, WY | July 11-14, 2025

We’ll stay at the Refuge Lodge @ Paint Rock Canyon Ranch, a Wyoming ranch with 80,000 acres off the western slope of the Big Horn Mountain Range. There are over 5 miles of private access to the Paint Rock Canyon Creek, a blue-ribbon fishery. The rooms offer rustic comfort with gorgeous Wyoming landscapes right outside your door - a perfect retreat for you to refresh and recharge.

We’ll eat, fish, rest, and laugh. Wake up each day and do it again. Wade fish on the Paint Rock Canyon Creek that runs through the property and experience breathtaking views. Horse back ride private trails along the range. Smoke a cigar and enjoy a cocktail in the Library next to the fireplace. Unwind in the game room or by the pool.

We're going to disconnect from work, ministry & the world for a few days, and reconnect with God, with others, and with ourselves. There's no one out there who serves leaders better than the Refuge team so prepare to enjoy the best of everything and maybe make some friends for life along the way.

There's no place like Refuge Montana to get away with friends and refill your soul. • Refuge Foundation is a registered 501c3 so the suggested donation to Refuge is $1,495. Payment plans can be arranged and if finances are a concern, please let us know. We never want resource to keep a leader from getting the rest they need and deserve. In addition to the registration fee you’ll want to prepare for a MT or WY fishing license and your airfare.

  • Reserving your spot is easy. Just follow these steps.

    1. Apply and confirm you have a spot

    2. Book your airfare by following the instructions.

    3. Go to www.refuge.rest and click on “register”, follow the form and make your payment (or set up a recurring gift.)

  • If you’d love to attend one of these retreats but the cost is a concern, please email us at info@for.nyc and include “Refuge Scholarship” in the subject line and we’ll do our best to help you get there. Don’t let money keep you from accessing the rest and support you deserve and need.

  • No experience required. You don’t have to be a pro at any of the outdoor activities. Refuge provides the necessary gear and professional guides to make sure you have the best time possible.

  • While at Refuge some guys like to enjoy cigars or adult beverages and some guys don't. You do you. There’s zero pressure to participate in either, but please be aware some guys will.

  • Fly into Billings, Montana, for either trip/location, arriving as close as possible to 1pm on the first day. (It might be necessary to fly in the day prior and spend the night in Billings if you can’t find a flight to get in around that time or earlier). Please book your outbound flight on the last day no earlier than 11am departure time as there is no way to get you to the airport before that time.

  • The demands of leadership are intense so we work really hard to make this a restful and stress free experience. The basic vibe is “choose your own adventure” from the menu of activities each day. The only requirement is that you show up to dinner each day and participate in the evening discussion - otherwise, rest, take a nap, explore and enjoy.

  • Prepare to be totally off the grid once you arrive at the lodge. There is no guest wifi and most cellphone carriers do not work. There is an emergency landline in case someone needs to get ahold of you (the number will be provided after registration). By the second day you won’t even miss the distraction of being connected to the outside world.

"Sometimes the best solution is to rest, relax and recharge. It's hard to be your best on empty." ~ Sam Glenn
